Maryland middle schooler brings loaded gun into classroom

A Maryland teenager introduced a loaded handgun into their center college classroom in Prince George’s County, in response to police.

Prince George’s County Police stated officers responded to William Wirt Center Faculty at round 11:40 a.m. Thursday morning after a pupil alerted college safety that their 13-year-old classmate had a firearm.

Based on investigators, the teenage boy was recognized and knowledgeable police he had taken the loaded handgun right into a classroom and positioned it inside a drawer.

The gun was recovered, and no accidents have been reported.

Principal Rhonda Simley stated in a letter to the college neighborhood that the scholar can be “disciplined accordingly.”
