BALTIMORE — All stations on the Metro SubwayLink system will shut quickly this weekend for a communications system improve, the Maryland Division of Transportation introduced Monday.  

The Baltimore-area stations will shut at 6 p.m. Friday, Could 5, and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Could 8., the company stated. 

MTA stated the brand new practice communications system will present riders with an enhanced transit expertise by permitting extra correct management of practice motion on the Metro Subway system.  

Crews shall be conducting surveys of the practice tunnels, and testing new {hardware} chargeable for controlling practice actions out and in of the rail yard.  

The work is a component of a bigger Metro Subway system improve that may finally embrace new rail automobiles, the company stated.
