Now that the recounts are accomplished, six weeks after Maryland’s primaries, we’re lastly in a position to declare a winner in Maryland Issues’ main election contest.

Congratulations to Noah Habenstreit, the marketing campaign supervisor for Heather Mizeur’s congressional bid!

We requested our readers to foretell the end result of 11 races across the state, and we used two others as tie-breakers.

However Habenstreit didn’t want any tie-breakers. He received by answering 10 2/3 of the questions appropriately — falling wanting an ideal rating by predicting solely two of the three winners within the District 23 Democratic main for Home of Delegates (the third candidate he named completed simply 16 votes out of the working). Only for the report, Habenstreit’s precision prolonged to the tie-breakers — the place he picked, to the proper share, the Democratic main vote of Mizeur’s rival, Dave Harden. Seems to be like Mizeur has a reasonably good numbers man in her store.

Knowledgeable of his victory, Habenstreit stated it was satisfying to listen to after a string of “middling March Insanity outcomes.”

Habenstreit joins our earlier election contest winners within the Maryland Issues Corridor of Fame — Leonard Lucchi, Del. Vaughn Stewart (D-Montgomery), and Ron Nordling.

Jasper Lester completed second on this contest, and Spencer Jones positioned third.

Because of the 60 or so readers who entered. Higher luck subsequent time! We’ll be again with one other one for the overall election!
