Maryland man identified in shooting with Arlington Police

Police on Saturday recognized an armed man who was shot by an officer Friday night. Arlington County Police stated El-Amin Mutee, 44, of Waldorf, Md., has been charged with brandishing and possession of a firearm with extra prices pending.

Police stated the officers responded to studies of photographs fired on the 2100 block of Shirlington Highway, discovered the armed suspect on the highway and informed him to drop his weapon. The person as an alternative raised the gun in his palms, and the officers fired at him, police stated. The person was taken to the hospital and remained in steady situation. No officers had been wounded within the trade of gunfire, and the person’s gun was recovered on the scene, police stated.
