Maryland man dies in three-car vehicle in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — A 65-year-old man died in a three-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in St. Lucie County, the Federal Freeway Patrol stated.

The crash occurred at Orange Avenue (State Highway 68) and Jenkins Highway (County Highway 611) simply east of the Fort Pierce metropolis limits at 2:55 p.m., FHP stated.

A 2020 white Kia Telluride SUV pushed by the deadly sufferer from Kingsville, Md., was touring westbound on Orange Avenue within the left flip lane at Jenkins Highway.

A 2004 black Chevrolet Avalanche pickup pushed by a 37-year-old man from Fort Pierce was touring eastbound on Orange Avenue within the inside lane approaching Jenkins Highway.

And a 2017 maroon Kia Sorento SUV pushed by a 55-year-old man from Fort Pierce was within the left flip lane behind the Telluride.

The Maryland man tried to make a left flip throughout the eastbound lanes onto Jenkins Highway. The entrance of pickup struck the fitting facet of the Telluride within the intersection.

The Telluride moved into the northeast path and struck the Sorento within the left flip lane.

The motive force of the Telluride was pronounced lifeless at HCA Lawnwood Regional Medical Heart in Fort Pierce The 2 different drivers weren’t injured.
