Maryland man charged in gunfire, assault incident

Oct. 26—ENFIELD — Police charged a Maryland man in reference to an assault incident and report of gunshots on Church Road on Tuesday after he broke free and fled from police.

Chief Alaric Fox mentioned division personnel responded at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday to a report of photographs fired close to 129 Church St. Police found {that a} man who lived on the deal with had been assaulted. The person was taken by ambulance to a neighborhood hospital. Police didn’t have info on his situation this morning.

Police detained Hassan Iverson, 37, of Mount Rainier, Maryland, in reference to the incident when he broke free and fled. Police captured him after a short chase.

Iverson was charged with interfering with a police officer/resisting arrest and use of drug paraphernalia.

He was launched on a $5,000 surety bond and is scheduled to look in Hartford Superior Courtroom on Nov. 22.

Fox mentioned the small print of the incident and Iverson’s involvement stay below investigation.
