Maryland falls short in season opener at Wisconsin – University of Maryland Athletics

MADISON, WI – The Maryland males’s golf staff completed in a two-way tie for sixteenth on the 2022 Badger Invitational on Tuesday of their season opener. The primary day of the match was canceled attributable to inclement climate and, consequently, was decreased from a 54-hole occasion to a 36-hole occasion. Senior Will Koras led the Terrapins, ending in a four-way for sixteenth, posting a rating of 142 (71-71), at two underneath par.

-Freshman Ronnie Kim completed in a four-way tie for sixty fourth, posting (76-74) (+6)
-Senior Will Celiberti completed in a three-way for 78th, posting (77-77) (+10)
-Each sophomore Florian Huerlimann and senior Dillon Brown completed in a two-way for 87th, posting (81-79) and (79-81) respectively, ending at (+16) for the match.
 
“That is definitely not the way in which we wished to start the season,” stated head coach John Phillips. “Will Koras had a powerful begin to his closing marketing campaign as a Terp with a T-16 end. He beat a number of achieved collegiate gamers, together with the reigning U.S. Novice champion.”
 
Up Subsequent
Maryland is again in motion on September 26-27 for the Howard College/College of San Francisco Collegiate Invitational at TPC Avenel Farm in Potomac, Md., simply half-hour from Faculty Park.
