BALTIMORE – One night time after his cousin received the ladies’s nationwide championship, UConn guard Jordan Hawkins claimed the title on the lads’s aspect.

Hawkins, whose cousin is Baltimore native and LSU ladies’s star Angel Reese, scored 16 factors to spice up UConn to a 76-59 win over San Diego State in Monday’s NCAA Males’s Championship Recreation.

Hawkins is a 6-foot-5 sophomore from Gaithersburg, Maryland, who performed his highschool basketball at DeMatha Excessive College. He averaged 16.2 factors and 4 rebounds per sport this season.

Reese, who performed her highschool ball at Baltimore’s St. Frances Academy, scored 15 factors and grabbed 10 rebounds as her LSU Tigers beat Iowa, 102-85, in Sunday’s NCAA Ladies’s Nationwide Championship.

Reese, an All-American and Closing 4 Most Excellent Participant, delivered 23 factors and 15 rebounds per season.
