Maryland Comptroller Franchot tests positive for COVID-19
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, a Democratic candidate for governor, has examined constructive for COVID-19.
Franchot tweeted that he examined constructive Friday evening and was experiencing “very gentle” signs. “I will likely be quarantining, and persevering with to marketing campaign from dwelling till I’m able to safely return to the path,” tweeted Franchot, who stated he was vaccinated and boosted.
Franchot is among the many 9 Democrats competing for the get together’s nomination for governor after a tenth candidate suspended his bid final month.
4 Republicans are vying for the GOP nomination. Republican Gov. Larry Hogan is term-limited.
The first election is July 19.
