Lopez Helps Power Destruction to 2-1 Day in Maryland Tourney

SALISBURY, Md. – The Mass Destruction 16-and-under travel softball team went 2-1 on Tuesday at the USSSA Eastern Championship.

 

In Tuesday’s first game, the Destruction, well, destroyed the Elkridge Hurricanes, 13-0.

Navaeh Lopez went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs batted in to lead a 12-hit attack as the Destruction ended the game in four innings.

 

Amanda Pou earned the win in the circle, striking out six and allowing one hit in a complete-game effort.

The Destruction dropped a 6-0 decision to the Northwest Explosion Lilly but bounced back to beat Alpha B_Criss, 9-0.

 

Kamryn Renata went 2-for-3 with a triple and a pair of RBIs. Natalie Arnhold doubled twice, and Ella Bassi went 2-for-2 at the plate.

 

Pou again did the honors in the circle, striking out four and not allowing a hit in the five-inning win.
