Michigan’s football team closes its 2023 road schedule on Saturday with a matchup at Maryland (6-4, 3-4 Big Ten).

Kickoff is slated for noon, and MLive will be providing live updates throughout the contest.

The third-ranked Wolverines (10-0, 7-0) will once again be without head coach Jim Harbaugh after he and the university decided to accept the Big Ten’s three-game suspension on Thursday before it was scheduled to fight it in court Friday.

But Michigan will also be without linebackers coach Chris Partridge, who was fired Friday amid the NCAA’s investigation into the program over an alleged impermissible sign-stealing scheme. The team’s offensive line will have a new look as well with starting left tackle LaDarius Henderson listed as out on Michigan’s pregame availability report.

The Wolverines ran the ball on their final 32 offensive plays last week in the 24-15 win over Penn State, but expect them to lean more on J.J. McCarthy’s arm Saturday against Maryland’s pass defense that ranks eighth in the conference.

Michigan’s secondary could be tested against dual-threat Taulia Tagovailoa, who leads the Big Ten with 2,769 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. The veteran is still turnover-prone, however, throwing eight interceptions in 2023.

Saturday’s contest has no effect on the Big Ten East standings for the Wolverines, who will have a chance to win the crown next week against Ohio State regardless of the outcome against the Terrapins. Michigan is 7-0 against Maryland under Harbaugh.
