WASHINGTON (AP) — Elijah Hawkins scored 16 factors and Howard earned its eighth straight win with a 78-69 victory over Maryland-Jap Shore on Monday night time.

Hawkins added seven rebounds and 6 assists for the Bison (16-10, 8-1 Mid-Jap Athletic Convention). Jordan Wooden and Marcus Dockery pitched in with 13 factors apiece.

Zion Kinds paced the Hawks (14-10, 6-3) with 15 factors, six rebounds and three steals. Donchevell Nugent scored 13 and Troy Hupstead added 11 factors and 6 rebounds.

These two groups each play Saturday. Howard visits Coppin State, whereas Maryland-Jap Shore hosts South Carolina State.
