Gov. Moore touts economic benefits of Biden’s agenda following SOTU address
BALTIMORE — Maryland Gov. Wes Moore mentioned following Tuesday’s State of the Union deal with that the state has been reaping the advantages of President Joe Biden’s financial agenda.
“Simply final week, we hosted President Biden and Secretary Buttigieg in Baltimore to kick off the B&P Tunnel Substitute Program—the tunnel that may now be generally known as the Frederick Douglass Tunnel,” Moore mentioned in an announcement. “Due to the Biden-Harris Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Regulation, the state will make investments $450 million to help this main infrastructure undertaking. Development of the Frederick Douglass tunnel will generate as much as 30,000 jobs within the Baltimore area, together with 20,000 development jobs, and can create sustained funding within the area.”
The funding will assist to exchange the 150-year-old Baltimore and Potomac Tunnel.
Moore attended the State of the Union Handle alongside Maryland Sen. Susan Lee (D-16) and Maryland Del. Carl Jackson (D-8). He was the visitor of Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD).
