Montgomery County Council member Will Jawando, a progressive Democrat, introduced Tuesday his bid to exchange Cardin within the Senate. Jawando is the primary to announce his candidacy for Maryland’s open Senate seat.

“I’m operating for the U.S. Senate as a result of I consider we will construct a shared prosperity in Maryland that lifts everyone up and leaves nobody behind,” Jawando mentioned in his video announcement on social media.
