BALTIMORE– Severe storms have pushed out of the area along with the dangerous heat. A superb weather pattern begins Sunday.

Severe storms Saturday afternoon rolled through much of central, eastern, and southern Maryland. The strongest storms packed winds between 60 and 80 mph, detected by radar. A number of trees came down creating road closures and power outages. The worst of those storms are over tonight.

Major relief arrives overnight tonight. Lows will dip down into the 60s & 70s. Humidity levels will start to drop.

Delightful weather with low humidity, sunshine, and comfortable warmth is likely most of next week. Highs will top out in the middle 80s.

Our next chance for thunderstorms after today is next Friday.
