A sinkhole is causing backups on I-270 in Gaithersburg area near I-370
A large sinkhole on Interstate 270 is likely to cause traffic delays throughout Montgomery County. Transportation authorities said it will acquire days to correct it.
They said the 25-foot wide sinkhole is within the southbound aspect of the highway in close proximity to Interstate 370 from the Gaithersburg area. Early Thursday day, two lanes from the motorway were open and a couple were closed, officials mentioned.
