As we emerge what most educators proclaim to be the hardest 12 months of their profession, I’m hopeful. These stay difficult instances, however it’s via the power of our union, our collective voices, and our collective energy that we’ve got and can proceed to persevere.

I’m hopeful that with this power we’ll elect a pro-public schooling governor. That begins with a powerful turnout within the major this summer time. We search for a governor who will really put public schooling first and never hinder the progress the Blueprint guarantees. And we search for somebody who’s real, who received’t minimize funding or veto payments then declare victory when they’re pressured to proper their fallacious. Somebody who received’t vilify educators and unions however as an alternative listens. We’re ready to elect our subsequent schooling governor and make sure that educators have a seat on the desk.

Elections matter! Elections influence your profession, your paycheck, your rights, and the insurance policies and packages that assist college students. MSEA is proud to face with Wes Moore for governor and Aruna Miller for lieutenant governor. Wes is the schooling governor we want and the one our college students deserve.

The voice of MSEA members issues. Collectively we will elevate our trusted and highly effective voices throughout this state to elect Wes and Aruna, Brooke Lierman  as comptroller, Anthony Brown as legal professional common,

senators, delegates, county executives, and regionally endorsed county council and board of schooling members all through Maryland. We’re sturdy, however we take nothing as a right. We should flip up the amount—there’s simply an excessive amount of at stake.

Be part of me in canvassing, telephone banking, and speaking to household and buddies! Go to MDappleballot.com to get pro-public schooling candidates elected!

I’m hopeful!
