MARYLAND – Governor Wes Moore recently announcing $10 million in grant funding for small businesses across Maryland.
The funding comes from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s two programs.
Project Restore 2.0 will provide $8 million to Main Streets, Arts and Entertainment Districts for either new or existing small businesses to fill vacant spaces. Those organizations are eligible to receive up to $300,000.
The remaining $2 million will go to launch the Business Boost program, awarding up to $50,000 thousand to eligible small businesses looking to expand. “I’m also fortunate to work for an agency whose responsibility is to make the wishes, visions, and dreams of communities like those right here on the Eastern Shore come true. It’s our job and responsibility to provide resources for those visions,” DHCD Secretary Jake Day said.
