Proposed bill could impact Louisiana breweries

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A proposed invoice for microbreweries might have a big impact in our space.

As of now, for each extra location a brewery opens, they should brew 100% of the beer on web site. That might all change Wednesday, April 27.

The invoice proposed by Sen. Jeremy Stine would enable breweries to make a few of their product at one location and distribute it at one other. The invoice is now within the full Senate, with a vote coming down any time at present.

If the invoice turns into a regulation, it might go into impact Aug. 1.
