Members of public invited to 2024 Louisiana Housing Conference
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Louisiana Housing Corporation is inviting members of the public to attend the 2024 Louisiana Housing Conference.
The theme of the conference is “Building Thriving Communities: The Nexus of Housing, Economic Development, and Healthcare.”
The event will feature multiple speakers and sessions. Organizers said topics will include the following:
- Housing that increases economic development, jobs, and builds community
- Strategies designed to expand homeownership opportunities across the state
- Strategies to reduce homelessness and the work of continuum-of-care partners and support services
- Resilient building practices and disaster recovery housing strategies
The keynote speakers will be Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple, HUD Regional Administrator Candace Venezuela, and Enterprise Community Partners President and CEO and former HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan.
The conference will take place on Sunday, October 27, through Tuesday, October 29. It will be at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge.
