Krewe of Argus parade canceled for Mardi Gras Day due to weather
METAIRIE, La. (WVUE) – The Krewe of Argus will not roll on Mardi Gras Day as planned, with officials citing weather concerns as the reason for the cancellation.
Argus was scheduled to parade at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Metairie, however, unsafe weather conditions prompted organizers to call off the event.
Parish officials have not yet announced whether the cancellation will impact other Mardi Gras Day parades.
A press conference is scheduled for Monday, where Jefferson Parish leaders are expected to provide more details on the decision and any potential rescheduling.
