High-speed chase ends fatally; La. State Police investigating officer-involved shooting

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – Simply after 5 p.m., Haughton Police Division (HPD) and Bossier Parish Sheriff Officer (BPSO) have been concerned in a high-speed chase.

The chase started in Haughton when HPD started to pursue a suspect that had two felony warrants for home abuse, in line with officers with Bossier police. The suspect traveled west on E Texas St. till he crashed at E Texas and Benton Street.

The 31-year-old male suspect was armed and shot at HPD and BPSO who in return, fired pictures again, say officers.

The suspect was shot and pronounced lifeless on the scene by Bossier Metropolis Fireplace Division. No officers have been injured through the incident.

Louisiana State Police (LSP), BPSO, and HPD are on the scene.

Police say a minimum of 50 pictures have been fired.
