Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana visited D.C. for annual conferance

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KNOE) – Habitat for Humanity’s annual legislative conference, “Habitat on the Hill”, kicked off this week and members of Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana (HHNLA) were in attendance.

Over 400 Habitat staff members from across the nation gathered in Washington, D.C. to advocate for their communities. This year’s theme was “Reaching new heights, together.”

North Louisiana’s advocacy group had the opportunity to speak with congressmen as well as senators Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and John Kennedy (R-LA).

CEO of Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana, Kathy Gardner, also met with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
