City of West Monroe wins Community Achievement Award from Louisiana Municipal Association
MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The City of West Monroe won the Community Achievement Award from the Louisiana Municipal Association for the city’s development of the West Monroe Sports & Events Facility.
The city received the award at the LMA Annual convention held in Shreveport where they recognized achievements in Community Development, Economic Development, Basic Services and Technology and Connectivity.
The facility has hosted multiple sporting events and tournaments as well as the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Table Tennis and the Junior National Team Trials. The facility has brought the addition of multiple leagues such as youth volleyball, Futsal and pickleball.
