72 Boaters Certified During “Boating Education Lagniappe Day”

The Louisiana Division of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) licensed 72 boaters statewide after its eleventh annual “Boating Schooling Lagniappe Day” on April 23.

Boating Schooling Lagniappe Day was at eight places throughout the state and consisted of the Nationwide Affiliation of State Boating Legislation Directors (NASBLA) boating training course, meals and drinks, giveaways and door prizes all freed from cost to the general public.

The NASBLA protected boating certification is necessary for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1984 who needs to function a motorboat in extra of 10 horsepower.
