Nominations are now open for Kentucky Art’s Council’s 2022 Governor’s Award in the Arts
The Kentucky Arts Council is accepting nominations via July 15 for the 2022 Governor’s Awards within the Arts.
The awards acknowledge people and organizations which have made extraordinary and important contributions to the humanities in Kentucky. The nomination course of is coordinated by the humanities council.
Eligibility is particular to every of the 9 award classes:
• Milner Award – Excellent philanthropic, inventive or different contributions to the humanities
• Artist Award – Lifetime achievement within the arts
• Enterprise Award – Excellent curiosity in and assist of the humanities
• Neighborhood Arts Award – Constructive impression locally via the humanities
• Training Award – Vital contribution to arts in schooling
• People Heritage Award – Excellent effort to perpetuate and promote Kentucky’s distinctive inventive traditions
• Authorities Award – Vital assist for the humanities via authorities motion
• Media Award – Dedication to bringing the humanities to the eye of the general public
• Nationwide Award – Achievement of nationwide prominence within the arts
Relying on the class, eligible nominees have to be residents of Kentucky, organizations positioned in Kentucky or have shut ties to Kentucky. Previous recipients and posthumous nominees aren’t eligible.
