New offer by Virginia for prolific 2024 Kentucky high school scorer Perry
By Jerry Ratcliffe
Virginia has entered the race for a participant who might erase all the state of Kentucky’s high-school scoring data earlier than he’s carried out.
On Monday, 6-foot-2, 4-star level guard Travis Perry of Eddyville, Ky. (Lyon County H.S.), introduced on his Twitter account that “after a terrific dialog with Coach (Tony) Bennett and Coach (Kyle) Getter, I’m excited and blessed to have acquired a proposal from the College of Virginia.”
The Cavaliers are the most recent to leap onboard the Perry recruiting practice. He already holds presents from Kentucky, Purdue, Michigan, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Stanford, Creighton and others.
Perry has taken official visits to Michigan and Purdue along with an unofficial to Kentucky final weekend.
He’s rated No. 93 general nationally within the recruiting class of 2024 by 247Sports, and the No. 15 level guard. 247 charges him as the highest prospect within the state of Kentucky for 2024.
Perry, who plans to chop his listing to between 8 and 10 colleges earlier than his junior season begins, enters that junior 12 months with 3,000 factors scored and two years remaining. He has an opportunity to obliterate the all-time Kentucky highschool scoring document of 4,337 factors by Kelly Coleman.
