Most Wanted: Search intensifies for Tennessee murder suspect last seen in Kentucky

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The U.S. Marshals have joined the hunt for a wanted murder suspect last seen in Kentucky.

The U.S. Marshals Service reports that its Middle Tennessee Task Force is asking for the public’s help in finding Jesse Wayne Phillips.

Phillips is wanted by the TBI in connection with a murder investigation.

The 38-year-old was last known to be in Clinton County, Kentucky, on May 28. Phillips has an extensive violent criminal history and is considered armed and dangerous.

“Phillips is a 38-year-old white male, brown hair, brown eyes, and is 5 foot 10 inches and weighs 225 pounds,” the service said.

He’s accused of the death of Christopher B. Yates in Pall Mall from a shooting on May 27.

Up to $5,000 is available for information that leads to his arrest.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-WANTED2 or by calling 911. Information can also be submitted via email at USMStips@usdoj.gov.”
