Kentucky Wesleyan College president Dr. Thomas Mitzel announces retirement

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) – The President of Kentucky Wesleyan College has announced his retirement Friday.

Dr. Thomas Mitzel became president in January 2020. School leaders say he guided the college through significant times of change and progress with a focus on exceptional educational and community experiences.

Officials say Mitzel’s current contract ends in December.
