Kentucky showing interest in Bosnian guard Harun Zrno

The Kentucky Wildcats could be looking internationally to round out its roster.

The Kentucky staff has reportedly been in contact with 2025 Bosnian shooting guard Harun Zrno.

Zrno drew interest from the likes of Virginia, Wisconsin and Creighton before committing to Indiana back in January. After Mike Woodson left and Darian DeVries was hired, Zrno reportedly was interested in sticking with Indiana, but DeVries reportedly ignored Zrno despite multiple attempts to contact him.

Now it seems like Kentucky is gauging interest, with Mark Fox speaking to Zrno’s representation, according to Kentucky Sports Radio’s Jacob Polacheck.

It seems like interest is very preliminary as of now, as Kentucky seems to be looking at multiple options to round out next year’s roster. The Wildcats are seemingly casting a wide net, but it’s clear Kentucky wants to add another three-point shooting threat to the roster.

Zrno played well for KK Slavija, a professional club in Bosnia. He averaged 17.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on 50 percent shooting from the field while earning a reputation as a knockdown shooter, connecting on nearly 44 percent of his three-point attempts.

If Kentucky is looking for a guy who has the ability to consistently knock down shots from the perimeter, Zrno could be the guy.
