Kentucky man finds human remains while hiking with son
MOREHEAD, Ky. (WKYT) – A Kentucky man found human remains while hiking with his son in Rowan County.
Late Sunday night, the Rowan County Coroner’s Office announced on Facebook that the man and his son had found skeletal remains at Trent Ridge in Rowan County earlier that evening.
Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt was called to the scene and confirmed that the remains were human.
The Coroner’s Office says the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office will partner with Rowan County officials to determine the identity of the remains.
