Kentucky aviation expert responds to deadly plane crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – An American Airlines flight collided with a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter outside Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC Wednesday night..

The recovery effort is still ongoing, but none of the 67 involved in the crash survived.

In the video above, WKYT’s Darnell Crenshaw spoke to a Kentucky airline pilot who has landed on that same runway at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. He says the air traffic there is very busy, filled with commercial and military aircraft. He says the final approach can be nerve-wracking.
