Florida stuns No. 10 Kentucky in a SEC overtime thriller
On a night where defense was at a premium, Florida dominated defensively in overtime to escape Rupp Arena with a massive SEC win, 94-91 over Kentucky. Five players, including three Florida Gators, scored 20+ points in the high-flying shootout. But, it was Walter Clayton Jr. whose three-pointer with under two minutes remaining in overtime gave the Gators a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Florida was excellent in the extra five minutes. The Gators dominated the glass and made 5-6 free throws to help ice away a crucial win for their NCAA tournament resume. UF entered Wednesday squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble, but a massive Quad 1 road win against No. 10 Kentucky could be a key factor that gets the Gators an appearance in the tournament.
Kentucky has now lost two of its last three games leading up to the massive showdown with No. 5 Tennessee this Saturday. Kentucky now sits two full games behind conference leader Alabama with just over one month to play in the regular season.
