Beloved Southern Kentucky football coach laid to rest

STANFORD, Ky. (WYMT) – A number of hundred individuals packed a church Monday for the funeral of a beloved Southern Kentucky highschool soccer coach.

The parking zone at Grace Fellowship Church in Stanford was full, together with practically each seat inside for the funeral of Robbie Lucas.

The Somerset Excessive College coach died earlier this month after struggling an extended sickness. Lucas grew up in Lincoln County however coach at Somerset and was a part of that program for greater than 20 years.

He led the Briar Jumpers to their solely state title in 2019.
