Sheree Ralston, late Georgia house speaker’s widow, enters race to fill seat

BLUE RIDGE, Ga. – The widow of former Georgia Home Speaker David Ralston is operating to fill his vacant legislative seat.

Sheree Ralston introduced Wednesday that she was operating for election within the seventh Home District, which covers Fannin and Gilmer counties and a part of Dawson County. Gov. Brian Kemp known as a particular election on Jan. 3 to fill the seat.

“I’m operating to finish the unfinished work of my husband, David Ralston, particularly because it pertains to psychological well being reform and defending the pursuits of Georgia’s seventh Home District,” she stated in an announcement.
