Man arrested after woman found dead at Georgia motel
HARTWELL, G.A. (FOX Carolina) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested a man on murder charges after a woman was found dead at a motel on Sunday.
GBI was requested to investigate by Hartwell Police after 36-year-old Candy Downer was found at the Day Nite Inn on Sunday, April 28.
The suspect 41-year-old Matthew Carey was arrested on Monday on malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault-family violence charges.
