LIVE UPDATES: Tornado watch issued for parts of northwest Georgia Saturday
ATLANTA — A second week of extreme storms is transferring via northwest Georgia.

Extreme Climate Staff 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says most of northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta are below a Degree 1 of 5 extreme climate menace danger. A number of counties, together with Chattooga and components of Gordon and Floyd, are below a Degree 2 of 5 extreme climate menace danger.

A extreme thunderstorm warning has been issued for Murray, Floyd, Whitfield, Walker, Gordon and Chattooga counties till 6:30 a.m.

A extreme thunderstorm warning has been issued for Catoosa, Walker and Dade counties till 6 a.m.
