Georgia: First responders exposed to substance at crash, hospitalized

ELLIJAY, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say seven northern Georgia first responders have been hospitalized after being uncovered to an unknown substance whereas at a crash.

Gilmer County Public Security Director Keith Kucera says Fireplace Rescue models have been despatched to the single-vehicle crash Thursday night, the place the responders discovered a pickup truck that had hit a tree.

The emergency crews handled the 2 individuals who have been within the truck for trauma-related accidents.

Two sheriff’s deputies and 5 emergency medical providers employees suffered publicity signs to what authorities known as an unknown managed substance that was within the car.

They have been all taken to hospitals for therapy and have since been launched.
