December Mall of America shooting suspect arrested in Georgia

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A suspect needed in connection to the lethal taking pictures on the Mall of America in December of 2022 was taken into custody in Georgia.

The U.S. Marshals Service, Southeast Regional Fugitive Process Power, at the side of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Workplace, the Bloomington Minnesota Police Division, and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Workplace arrested Lavon Longstreet, 17, on January 17 at a house on Kenridge Parkway in Decatur, Georgia with out incident.

The taking pictures occurred on December 23, 2022 contained in the mall, situated in Bloomington, Minnesota and claimed the lifetime of 19-year-old Johntae Hudson, of St. Paul. 

Investigators say the taking pictures could have been associated to a “long-standing feud” between the 2 teams concerned.
