How They Got Here
Tennessee baseball won the first meeting between the two teams in an absolute thriller, turning a three-run ninth inning deficit into a 12-11 walk-off victory. The Vols followed up the win over Florida State by defeating North Carolina 6-1 on Sunday night.
After losing its opener against Tennessee, the Seminoles defeated Virginia 7-3 on Sunday and then North Carolina 9-5 on Tuesday to stave off elimination.
