North Central Florida roadway projects among over 200 lawmaker requests
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCJB) – State lawmakers’ Christmas wish list is a hefty one this year.
A preliminary list of requests for roadwork money is now past 200 projects and includes a handful for North Central Florida.
Senator Jennifer Bradley is asking for $5 million for two projects in Columbia County to make improvements to the State Road 47 interchange at I-75 and the Bell Road extension near Five Points.
Various lawmakers want $4.5 million for two projects in Marion County to relieve traffic congestion. One is near the World Equestrian Center; another is near the Florida Aquatic Swimming and Training facility.
The legislative session begins January 9.
