Man at Florida’s The Villages arrested after punching friend over golf etiquette: report

A 77-year-old man who was taking part in golf at Florida’s The Villages is now dealing with a battery cost after allegedly punching his pal within the face throughout an argument over etiquette. 

The incident involving Richard Randell and his 84-year-old taking part in companion occurred on the De La Vista Golf Course in late April, Fox35 Orlando experiences, citing courtroom paperwork filed close to the top of final month. 

Sumner County deputies, in an affidavit, mentioned a person who was taking part in golf with Randell and the pal advised investigators that the pair first received into an argument across the fourth gap.

The pal then requested Randell to maneuver away from a inexperienced he was standing on – to which Randell replied that he was conscious of the correct golf etiquette, in accordance with the station.

Because the argument escalated, the pal gave Randell the center finger and he warned him “do this once more, and I’ll hit you,” Fox35 Orlando reported, citing the witness’s feedback within the affidavit. 

The De La Vista Golf Course in The Villages, Florida, the place the incident allegedly unfolded.

Randell then punched his pal within the face after he was offered with the center finger a second time, the affidavit reportedly mentioned.

The sufferer was taken to an area hospital with a swollen bruise whereas Randall was arrested and charged with battery on an individual 65 years or older. 

Randell reportedly has pled not responsible.
