Man accused of making bomb threat against South Florida hospital

TAMARAC, Fla. – A 36-year-old man was arrested by the Broward Sheriff’s Office this week after they said he made a bomb threat against a hospital.

According to BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, Guerdouin Montimer, of Tamarac, was taken into custody Monday afternoon and transported to the BSO Main Jail.

She said Montimer is accused of calling Broward Crime Stoppers Monday morning and making a bomb threat against HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, which is located at 7201 N. University Drive in Tamarac.

According to St. Louis, detectives were able to identify Montimer as the caller and he was found later that day near the 7000 block of West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac.

Montimer faces two counts of making a false report concerning planting a bomb, explosive or weapon of mass destruction.

As of Friday morning, he was being held at the North Broward Bureau in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
