KISSIMMEE, Fla. – After announcing its departure from downtown Orlando, Hamburger Mary’s is opening its new restaurant in Kissimmee.

The restaurant chain made the announcement Monday on social media.

“The cat is out of the bag! Kissimmee, are you ready for Hamburger Mary’s?” the post reads.

Hamburger Mary’s is known for its drag shows and flamboyant dining experience.

Co-owner John Paonessa announced last month the restaurant would be leaving its Church Street location.

“The hustle and bustle of downtown Orlando has given way to a sleepy city with few people working downtown and opting for remote, and less traffic in the evenings,” he wrote.

Hamburger Mary’s is a chain of family locally-owned independent restaurants, with several locations across the U.S.
