Florida Disaster Foundation to donate trailers to those impacted by last week’s severe weather
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The newly established Florida Disaster Foundation announced this weekend their intent to donate up to 50 trailers to those impacted by severe weather and tornadoes in North Florida.
According to the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the trailers will allow for temporary housing for anyone who lost their homes in Tuesday morning’s severe weather. Those who qualify for the temporary housing solution will be contacted by FDEM’s individual assistance team, according to a press release.
“Florida is committed to assisting all communities post disaster, and thanks to the establishment of this direct support organization by the Legislature, we will be able to respond and recover faster than ever before,” said Division Executive Director Kevin Guthrie.
