Former Delaware middle school teacher charged for having ‘sexual relationship’ with student, State Police say
WILMINGTON, Del. – A former educator has been despatched again to Delaware after being charged with rape for a sexual relationship with a former pupil, Delaware State Police say.
In accordance with authorities, 42-year-old Reed Messer turned the topic of an investigation in December 2022 when State Police acquired a report from the Delaware Division of Household Companies alleging the previous instructor had a sexual relationship with a juvenile pupil at Stanton Center Faculty in Wilmington practically a decade prior.
Troopers say an investigation revealed Messer had sexual relations with the coed in a relationship that started in October 2014 and lasted for about two months.

On April 26, troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Messer, who moved to South Carolina, authorities say.
Regulation enforcement in South Carolina discovered Messer at her residence and took her into custody, in response to officers.
State Police say Messer was extradited again to Delaware on Monday and charged with sexual abuse of a kid and rape.
