The Dallas Stars are making it clear that Mavrik Bourque is part of their future
NHL Watcher: Elliotte Friedman on The Fan Hockey Show on Dallas Stars RFA forward Mavrik Bourque and offer sheets: “I’ve heard Dallas has made it very clear that they see Mavrik Bourque as a big part of their future, particularly after the playoffs this year, so I’m less confident that’s going to work for Bourque.”
The Carolina Hurricanes had quick conversations involving Sergei Bobrovsky and Jordan Binnington at the deadline
Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: At this past NHL trade deadline, the Carolina Hurricanes were checking out the goalie market.
Sources say that they talked to the Florida Panthers about goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, but they didn’t want to pay the price the Panthers wanted, and that talks never got passed the preliminary stage.
Believe the Panthers were asking for a first-round pick. The Hurricanes would have had to at least give up a second-round pick in opinion.
The Hurricanes also held brief talks with the St. Louis Blues about Jordan Binnington.
