In Frisco, Petar Musa scored early, and FC Dallas benefitted from a Sporting Kansas City own goal to win its season finale 2-1 Saturday night and cap a disappointing 2024 campaign. Dallas finished with 11 wins, 15 losses and 8 draws (41 points). It was Dallas’ lowest point total since 2021 when it managed 33 points.

Sporting Kansas City’s William Agada right-footed shot from the right side of the 6-yard box pulled the visitors within 2-1 in the 89th minute. KC would not get another shot off in regulation or four minutes of extra time.

Musa’s left-footed shot from the center of the box went under the leg of defender Joaquín Fernández and into the bottom right corner of the goal in the 16th minute. It was Musa’s 16th goal of the season. Asier Illarramendi assisted on the play.

Saturday’s game will be the last time Toyota Stadium will be at full capacity for the next three years. The stadium will undergo a $182 million renovation project to be completed in 2028. For the 2025 season, only the west and south sides of the stadium will have open seating while the east side is under construction.
