Dallas lays to rest first Black police offer in Gaston Co.
DALLAS, N.C. (WBTV) – Isaac Carter Jr., the primary Black police officer in Gaston County, was laid to relaxation Monday.
Carter was 85 years outdated and the daddy of seven kids.
Carter served the city of Dallas for 25 years, beginning in 1973. He was the primary Black officer within the city and county.
“He was a neighborhood chief. He believed that everybody was any individual. He had a coronary heart and keenness for the individuals he served effectively,” mentioned daughter Clarissa Carter-Barber.
His memorial service was held at Gaston Memorial Park.
