Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers, 2023 NFL Wild Card Round

This season has always been about the playoffs for the Dallas Cowboys and at long last we have finally made it. Welcome to the postseason.

As winners of the NFC East the Cowboys will play host to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round. It is the first meeting of the two in the playoffs since the 2016 Divisional Round, a game that Mike McCarthy’s team won, just the wrong one at that moment in time.

If the Cowboys want to host a Divisional Round matchup like they did seven years ago, then they will have to go through Green Bay. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb will need to continue their excellent form and contributions from Brandin Cooks, Jake Ferguson and Tony Pollard will also be necessary on offense.

Defensively, the Cowboys have Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, DaRon Bland and many others to work with but will have to stop a hot Packers offense led by Jordan Love with all sorts of young players to work with around him. It is a big-time matchup and one where we will be holding our breath for the entire thing.
